Alexandre Lemieux, a native of Val-David, Quebec, discovers a true passion for music, interpretation and composition at the age of 10, which evolves over the years and becomes a great dream at the age of 14:

"Me when I grow up, I want to be a singer and sing for people all over the world."

But if we go back a little further in time, the first time he appears on stage at the age of 13 during a concert of young talents, in Saint-Sauveur, his parents witness his huge potential and decide to encourage him to take singing lessons in order to make him acquire more skills.

In 2011 and 2012, with the help of his mother, the music teacher and the art teacher, he organizes a show at his school in Sainte-Adèle that he calls the "SlowPopShow": his initiative is to raise enough money for the reconstruction of the Eddy-Pascal College in Haïti, following the earthquake of 2010. It is during the second edition that he wins a Forces Avenir Award in the "Committed Projects" category, which fills the parents of this talented and generous 15-year old with pride and confirms that he does indeed have a future in the music industry.

But like many others, his schooling does not follow a straight line, because he is faced with serious problems in mathematics, which, despite all his efforts, makes him decide to abandon his studies in 2013, then only 16 years of age. As opposed to being a resounding failure for him, it is on the contrary the opportunity to put all his energy into composition and, in the meantime, he performs in restaurants to save money for one of his big projects, that of laying down an album. In one summer, he manages to compose 12 songs which, at the end of August, are analyzed and corrected by his mother, an excellent English and French teacher.

The lyrics now on paper and the melody recorded on the Garage Band software, some of them with a basic framework made by keyboard, he goes to the studio of one of his former singing teachers, Serge Lahaie, in Sainte-Adèle. The purpose of these few sessions is to make guidelines for other professional musicians to make musical arrangements inspired by the melodies, now set to music.

He then speaks about his album project to his singing teacher at the time, Shirleen Hayes. She introduces him to the pianist of her group New Love, Daniel Loyer, who owns a professional recording studio in Laval. In analyzing the lyrics and listening to the melodies set to music by Serge, he immediately knows exactly which direction to take for each song.

A few months later, the recording begins and Alexandre meets some very talented musicians and singers who will work under Daniel's artistic direction to create the album:

Daniel Loyer, on piano, keyboards and Hammond B3

Alain Bertrand, on guitar

Denis Fortier, on bass

Andrée Anne Tremblay, on violin

Daniel Zanella, on drums

Bonnie Hamilton, Christine Quesnel and Guy Porlier, backing vocals

The recording sessions begin in September 2013 and end in January 2014. In the meantime, a thirteenth composition is added to the album. The styles and emotions of each of the songs all having their own color and texture, he decides to call the album Multicolore.

The launch of his album, his baby, takes place in October 2014, at the Bistro "Le Passé Composé" in Saint-Sauveur.

That same year, he puts an ad at the Lionel-Groulx College, in Sainte-Thérèse, known for hosting talented young musicians every year. It is in 2015 that the ad bears fruit and he meets 5 young people from the school and together, they start a musical group named "All B One" with the objective of playing in restaurants, bars, festivals as well as at weddings. In only two years, they put together a repertoire of a hundred songs, all of different styles and eras.

But as goes the expression "All good things must come to an end", the band breaks up in 2017, the primary reason being that the band's drummer is going to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, in Boston.

Since the very first edition of the popular TV show La Voix in 2013, he has enthusiastically participated in the pre-auditions every year, without being chosen which is a disappointment for him every time. However, he always holds his head up high and above all, he never gives up on his dreams. In a series of regional competitions, he makes wonderful and unforgettable encounters, among which Audrey Gagnon from Season 3 of Star Académie, William Deslauriers from Season 4 of Star Académie and Rick Hughes from Season 1 of La Voix Québec. Perseverance and determination are the key to success.

''Music for me is to make people happy by expressing in songs the emotions that I can’t express otherwise. Music, I know, can save lives, because it saved me. I live for music and it’s the air I breathe, it goes through my veins and keeps me alive. I write by following my heart and it tells me the words. Like too many people, I went through a maze of darkness before reaching peace of mind. So let me tell you: DON’T YOU EVER EVER GIVE UP!

Life made sure of that: I met the love of my life. It was as unexpected as it was amazing and wonderful, because being openly gay, I fell in love with a woman, but to me she is much more than her gender, she is the sun that lights up my life and the moon that watches over my nights. I love you babe.”
